covet (not the new fragrance by SJP)

people,

i cannot take this 110 degree(F) weather anymore. the only thing that's keeping me from just melting into a pool of despair and cooking like an egg on an engine is this image of myself walking to work on a near freezing October morning with a good cup of coffee in my hand. one of those mornings where you step out into icy mist that parts, (like aliens exiting from a bleach jug spray-painted silver spaceship in a 60-70s sci-fi film), where the first breath of air is this delicious burst of cold like opening a freezer door, where it is just crisp enough to be comfortable in and justify layers, for the grass to be really crunchy (as douglas copeland put it in hey nostradamus "like each blade was batter-friend"), and my cheeks to flush but not so frigid that the tips of my fingers turn blue and my lips begin to crack.

to make this more apropos, i should add that in this image i'm always wearing some sort of badass autumnal themed dress/tights/boots/jacket/scarf/knit hat combination.

which brings me to my question for you f-listers?

(with money not necessarily being an object) what are your fashion covets for fall? (linkz plz!)

here are mine!

1) i'd be more than happy to give up my overworn, on the verge of falling apart 90s light wash denim for a totally bitchin distressed leather (or distressed leather styled canvas or denim more likely, because i doubt i could thrift such a thing and have vowed not to purchase first-hand leather) jacket, in an unusual colour, the likes of which appears to not exist in my size or in the world.

ETA:
OMG it's at Nordstroms!(thanks yvette!) (though obviously completely unaffordable & not even close to in my size. these are the times i must struggle not to regret my body).

danier has one in the shape i'm imagining, though. When i was last at the Bay i discovered that vero moda has an amazing canvas-thick shrunken denim motorcycle jacket in black with tons of buckles and exaggerated raw stitching (read: i plotzed myself) but the swedes hate me and my "pythons," so i couldn't even get the thing past my elbow.

(if any of you have seen any leather jackets for fatties that aren't like EXECUTIVE/BAR STAR leather, dear god link me.)

2) dark leaf or botanical print dress in a floaty chiffon or cotton like this dress from torrid. i'm really feeling the dark blues & greens & mustard yellows & browns right now.

3) PURPLE SUEDE BOOTS OMG.

4) a cable-knit beret i had a black knit beret like this that one of my mom's clients had knit for her and in my second year of uni i made the mistake of leaving it on my chair arm when i went to the bathroom in the library & someone stole it! apparently i haven't gotten over it.
i know half of you are going, "just knit one" but i honestly have less than zero knitting and sewing ability. actually, there is not a single person who has knit in the history of 4 generations of my family. lots of sewers though, i guess i must be stupidadopted.
